A daytime Cuban kitchen on University Drive, a block off the Miracle Mile, that runs on cafecito and criollo plates rather than dinner service. Entrees come with white rice and black beans or mash and vegetables: palomilla and churrasco with house chimichurri, vaca frita in beef or shredded chicken, higado a la Italiana, chicken champignon, a tropical chicken in homemade mango sauce. Croqueta preparada and stuffed tostones start things off, and the pressed and grilled sandwiches keep the lunch queue moving. Breakfast omelettes from half seven. Honest prices, quick turnaround.
