OKIE POKE – Restaurant

A small family-run poke counter on South Tamiami Trail, opened in late 2025 by Ping Chen, who ran a Chinese takeaway for years before turning to Hawaiian bowls. The format is unfussy: order at the register, take one of about thirty seats, and wait for fish cut to order and dressed with salads and sauces to your spec. Milk tea shares top billing with the poke. Chen's pitch is simply that a small family business cares more than the alternative, and the counter is run accordingly. Quick, fresh, and assembled the moment you ask for it.
