GOLDEN HOST RESORT & BAHI HUT – Restaurant

Bahi Hut has been pouring mai tais on North Tamiami Trail since 1954, which makes it Sarasota's oldest tiki bar. The room is small, dim and unapologetically mid-century tropical, attached to the retro Golden Host Resort. Cocktails are the point here — the mai tai above all — with a short food menu alongside and entertainment most nights. It pulls in locals who have been coming for decades and visitors after real tiki rather than a themed approximation. Low lighting, strong drinks, no reinvention. A genuine Florida survivor.
