ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE – Restaurant

The Original Pancake House built its name on batter mixed from scratch and pancakes that go into an oven rather than straight onto a plate. The Apple Pancake is the signature - baked around fresh granny smith apples under a cinnamon glaze - while the Dutch Baby comes up puffed at the edges and is finished simply, with whipped butter, lemon and powdered sugar. Elsewhere: lacy Swedish pancakes with lingonberries, chewy 49'er flap jacks, corned beef hash made in house, crepes and tall folded omelettes. Breakfast is the entire brief here, and it is treated as a craft.
