A Central Arts District fixture on Central Avenue since 1999, The Oyster Bar builds its evening around the shucking station: house oysters by the half or full dozen, a coast-to-coast flight, and a salinity ladder that walks you from mildest to brinest. Baked options go further, Rockefeller with house-smoked cream cheese and citrus gremolata, or a surf-and-turf half dozen under shaved ribeye and blue cheese. Crispy calamari with hot cherry relish and baked lobster dip anchor the starters, and weekend brunch brings a crab Benedict and lavender French toast.
