El Hondureno has been cooking Honduran food on NW 36th Street in Allapattah for twenty-six years, family owned, with a second room a couple of blocks down the same street. The kitchen runs from seven in the morning to eleven at night - breakfast, lunch and dinner without a gap - and the dishes people name first are the conch soup and the Ceibeno chicken. Portions are generous, prices are low, and the room is calm. Twenty-six years on one street says most of what needs saying.
