SHARKY'S ON THE PIER – Restaurant

Sharky's on the Pier has sat at the base of the Venice Fishing Pier since 1987, right on the Gulf, and a recent multi-million-dollar rebuild has not changed what it is: a beachfront seafood house with an indoor dining room, an enclosed patio, a wraparound deck of sun and shade, and a tiki bar a few steps from the sand. Clam chowder, fish and chips, shrimp cocktail, fried shrimp and mahi carry the menu; frozen drinks carry the deck. Live music and dancing most nights of the week. It has been voted the best beach bar in Florida, and on a sunset evening the argument makes itself.
