Smoke has been the whole point here since 1968: pork shoulders and beef brisket go low and slow over oak, and the sliced pork sandwich remains the thing regulars order without looking at the menu. St. Louis-style ribs come dry-rubbed with sauce on the side, sweet or mild, and the sides run to garlic bread, sweet baked beans and coleslaw. Sweet tea arrives in a glass that keeps getting refilled. The dining rooms are family-loud and unfussy, and the all-you-can-eat rib nights draw a crowd. Florida barbecue as a weeknight institution rather than a pilgrimage.
