The kitchen works Sichuan and Cantonese with equal seriousness - spicy boiled fish, beef tripe in chili sauce, hot pot - plus a run of Guangxi dishes you won't find elsewhere in the city. The room commits to the format: enormous faux-marble tables, lazy susans, dishes arriving in bubbling cauldrons over portable burners. Even a weekday lunch has the feel of somebody's banquet.
