Taft Street Cafe has been doing classic American breakfast and lunch on Taft Street in Hollywood for long enough that the servers know most of the room by name. Portions run large, the omelettes are enormous, and regulars will tell you it has the best link sausage in town; the tuna melt has its own constituency. The He Man Special and the Super Special handle bigger appetites, with club and deluxe sandwiches at lunch. Seven to three, every day. It hides in an office building, so watch for the sign - the parking makes up for it.
