Taqueria Los Amigos is a small family-run room on Lee Road in Orlando, modest from the street and considerably better than it looks. The menu holds the line on real Mexican cooking - carne asada, pollo, chilaquiles and mole mexicano - built on fresh ingredients, with tacos priced around two and a half dollars and real corn tortillas underneath them. The house guacamole has locals arguing it is the best in the city. Staff are friendly, the room is clean and cozy, and weekday hours run ten to seven with longer weekends. A genuine neighborhood gem.
