TIERRA MEXICAN GRILL CANTINA BAR – Restaurant

Dim light, a full bar, screens for the game and a small stage that turns into live music or a DJ later — Tierra plays cantina and restaurant at once and mostly pulls it off. The kitchen is more ambitious than the room suggests: aguachile de pulpo, croquetas de birria and camarón al ajillo, guacamole with chicharrón, whole grilled snapper, pollo coloradito, ribeye and birria tacos with broth for dipping. The guava cheesecake is made in house. Diners single out the service and the atmosphere as often as the plates. Good for a date, better for a group.
