A small family-run ramen room tucked along East Woolbright, with a parking garage right behind it and a distinctly Japanese feel once you are inside. The sho-yu Tokio ramen is the house signature; tonkotsu, spicy miso and cha-shu men fill out the bowls, with nabeyaki udon, tempura soba, gyoza, inari and a mini chashu-don alongside. Diners describe it as their default ramen stop — traditional rather than trendy, carefully made, fairly priced, with attentive service. Portions run modest. Closed Mondays, and it fills quickly, so call ahead. Straightforward, and hard to beat locally.
