TOMO Coffee's Valenzuela branch occupies the second floor of the Reyflor Building on MacArthur Highway in Marulas, part of a fast-growing Philippine chain with a Japanese streak running through the branding. Espresso is the anchor -- lattes, iced coffee and a Spanish latte that gets ordered more than anything else -- alongside pastries and a brisk takeaway counter. Doors open at seven in the morning and stay open past midnight, later still on Friday and Saturday, which has made it a default for students, remote workers and late talkers. People come for the hours as much as the cup.
