TONY'S GYROS – Restaurant
A Treasure Coast gyro operation, started in 1990 and carried on under the same name by the founder's former student. The menu is short and unchanged: a quarter-pound of lamb and beef, roasted then grilled, with tomatoes, onions and a garlicky cucumber tzatziki in toasted pita, with or without feta. Vegetarian and vegan versions swap in sweet peppers, spinach and house hummus. Baklava is the only dessert, and the only one needed. Orders travel home wrapped in foil, ready for the oven. One small menu, done one way, for over thirty years.
