TOWER DELI & DINER – Restaurant

Seven in the morning until three in the afternoon, every day, on South University Drive: Tower runs the deli-diner playbook and runs it properly. Corned beef hash with a toasted everything bagel is the order to beat, though the nova and lox platters are what get photographed, and there are bialys, matzo ball soup, pastrami, eggs Benedict, spinach-and-feta omelettes and pancakes with home fries besides. The bagels and scallion cream cheese are made fresh and taste it. Diners mention the portions, the value, and a front-of-house that remembers faces. Old-school, and entirely unbothered about it.
