TRATTORIA CIAO – Restaurant

The wood-fired oven does the heavy lifting at Trattoria Ciao, a small, recently refreshed room on SE 47th Terrace in Cape Coral where live music runs some evenings. Wild mushroom arancini and lightly breaded calamari with cherry peppers and aioli start things off; gnocchi primavera, shrimp and crab ravioli in garlic cream, linguine with clam marinara and a rich osso bucco carry the middle. The spicy pepperoni and margherita pizzas come out of that oven blistered and fast. Diners keep flagging the fair prices alongside the cooking. Romantic without being precious.
