A Cuban counter tucked behind a gas station on Northwest 25th Street, open early for the working Doral crowd and shut by late afternoon. Cuban sandwiches are the headline, backed by palomilla steak, churrasco, grilled chicken, the house Tropic Ham, a garlic rice regulars single out, and split pea soup when it comes round. Cafecito, obviously. Service is quick and personal, the prices stay low, and nobody pretends the setting is anything but functional. A neighbourhood workhorse that has been at it since 2001.
