TRUE ISLAND GRILLE – Restaurant

A Jamaican kitchen on Woodbury Road in east Orlando, sending food out hot and fast from the counter. The plates regulars name are jerk pork with steamed cabbage and rice and peas, oxtail gravy on the side, along with curry goat, curry chicken, yardstyle fried chicken, whitening fried fish and a signature rasta pasta. Portions match the price, which is a fair part of the appeal. The room is clean, the music is on, the staff keep things easy, and the space doubles for events when the occasion calls. Straightforward island cooking, properly seasoned.
