TWISTED TIKKA – Restaurant

An Indian trailer in southwest Gainesville that refuses the word fusion — the spicing and technique are traditional, the format is not. The Tikka lamb gyro is the all-day best seller and the first thing to sell out; the milder tikka gyro and the tikka tacos follow close behind. There are vegetable samosas, pani puri, house-original lentil-and-spinach nuggets, chickpea curry and chicken butter masala with rice, plus a curried fusilli they added as a fourth way in. Sauces are made in house and heat runs from Baby Spice to Hot. Order at the window, eat standing up, come back Friday.
