US LOVE – Restaurant

A small ice cream parlour on Collins Avenue at 70th, a block from the sand, that does not open until mid-afternoon and then runs late. Crepes are the specialty and they arrive overstuffed - dulce de leche with coconut ice cream, Nutella under whipped cream - alongside pancakes, milkshakes, frozen yogurt and scoops in the cone. Regulars single out the size of the scoops and the price against everything else on the strip. The room is clean, the seating comfortable, the welcome genuine. Exactly what you want after a day on the beach.
