Venchi has been making chocolate in Piedmont since 1878, and the Gardens Mall boutique brings the whole operation under one counter, on the lower level near the concierge desk. Italian gelato churned fresh daily sits beside Chocoviar, Cremino and Gianduiotto, bars by the bag, spreads and gift tins. Crepes come filled straight from a flowing fountain of hazelnut chocolate spread, with espresso and thick hot chocolate alongside. The sourcing is the argument: Piedmont hazelnuts, Bronte pistachio, Sicilian almonds, no palm oil or colourings. Stop in for one scoop. Leave with a box.
