A Coral Springs bakery running on recipes that haven't changed since 1972. Antonio and Gelasia Cao met working at a Havana bakery, emigrated, and opened the first Vicky in Hialeah; five decades later the family still bakes the same way. Pastelitos come out through the day in flaky golden layers, alongside croquetas and bocaditos, sandwiches pressed on Cuban bread and coffee served properly — cafecito, cortadito, café con leche. Custom cakes are made in-house and catering trays go out by the dozen. Refresquitos for the heat. Turn up early; the good stuff moves.
