A creperie on Second Avenue Northeast in downtown St. Pete, open from seven in the morning until five, every day of the week. The Wooden Rooster makes everything to order: savoury crepes like the Full Monty and the Norwegian, the much-requested B.E.A.S.T. with its basil aioli, a breakfast crepe of eggs, mozzarella, bacon and dill sauce, and sweet ones — Berrylicious, crepe Suzette, crepe au sucre. Seasonal soups and salads, handcrafted coffee, craft beer and wine fill out the rest. Rustic farm decor, tables close together, plenty of chatter. Guests are near-unanimous about the crepes and the welcome.
