A small family-run kitchen tucked into a plaza on North Ocean Boulevard, Yamu cooks Thai with a Japanese sushi counter alongside. Panang curry with shrimp is the order people repeat, along with drunken noodles, duck noodle soup, chicken satay, crab rangoon and crispy duck; the sushi list runs to crunchy salmon and spicy tuna crunch rolls. Guests describe the room as quiet and unhurried, the portions generous for the price, and the owners as the reason they come back. Finish with the tempura cheesecake and a Thai iced tea.
