Central Texas barbecue, run out of a trailer on South Tamiami Trail in Nokomis, just below Sarasota, Wednesday through Saturday. Yo Daddio smokes over post oak and keeps the seasoning deliberately plain: prime brisket sliced to order, pulled pork, smoked turkey, baby back ribs and Southside Market sausage trucked in from Texas, with house-made sides alongside. No heavy sauce, no shortcuts, nothing to hide behind. The operator's own line says it best, and it is the honest pitch for this kind of cooking: the meat speaks for itself.
