Afternoon tea in the full, unhurried sense: tiered stands, freshly baked scones with cream, and a steady run of savouries and sweets, served by reservation only so the kitchen can time each sitting properly. The tea list is the centrepiece. The room doubles as an antiques and home-goods shop, so vintage tables, old china and browsing between courses are part of the visit rather than decoration. Etiquette classes, private celebration rooms and catering fill out the calendar. Doors open Wednesday through Sunday only, closed at the start of the week. Book ahead, then give the whole afternoon over to it.
