3 G'S GOURMET DELI – Restaurant
A New York deli that landed on West Atlantic Avenue in 1986 and never softened the accent. Bread and pickles hit the table before you order. Breakfast runs to four-egg omelettes — the New York with corned beef, pastrami and imported Swiss, the fig, bacon and brie — plus challah French toast, cheese blintzes and matzo brei, served until three. Lunch stacks corned beef, pastrami and brisket. Dinner brings pot roast, stuffed cabbage rolls and roast turkey carved off the frame. Matzo ball soup arrives by the huge bowl. The room opens nine to eight, seven days. Clear the afternoon.
