511 FRANKLIN – Restaurant

Downtown Tampa after dark on North Franklin Street, where the doors swing at four and the room keeps going until three on weekend nights. Cocktails lead: a cold brew martini, a nitro negroni, Spritz and Giggles, shooters, and a Friday happy hour that starts, inevitably, at 5:11. The kitchen keeps pace rather than competing, sending an El Jefe Cuban press, pulled pork, buffalo chicken wraps, pressed grilled cheeses, pretzel bites, pimento cheese, nachos and a charcuterie board. A punch card called Pour and Provide sends half its proceeds to a charity the guest picks. DJs, VIP tables, very late hours.
