ACQUA E FARINA INC – Restaurant

A blue truck on a grass lot off Southwest 131st Avenue in Kendall, string lights over folding tables, and a domed wood-burning oven roaring inside the galley. Acqua e Farina is Ciro Esposito's Neapolitan pizzeria on wheels, dough portioned by hand and left to rest in rows, pies built the Neapolitan way: tomato, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, simple wheat dough, nothing extra. Beyond pizza the kitchen sends out spaghetti, homemade gnocchi, lasagna, eggplant and house desserts. Customers keep describing a real pizzaiolo at the peel rather than a production line. Wednesday through Sunday, five until ten. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
