AL PAN PAN BAKERY – Restaurant

An Argentinian bakery and counter on South Military Trail that opens at seven and runs late, with cases of empanadas as the reason most people walk in. The Argentine ones come filled with beef, chicken, ham and cheese, corn, calabrese or spinach; the Colombian ones with beef or chicken and cheese. Around them are tequenos, ham, cheese and chicken croquetas, the picada argentina for a table, and choripan with fries. Mornings bring an American breakfast, an egg-and-ham burrito, and calentado with arepa and egg. Tres leches closes the meal out. Diners praise the pastry work, the portions and the prices.
