Amici started out in the compound of the Don Bosco church and school in Makati, where an Italian priest cooked for a small cafeteria; the Tomas Morato branch at Bellagio Square carries that plainspoken cooking into Quezon City. Pizzas come wood-fired, among them Al Quattro Formaggi, Il Supremo and Tutta Carne, beside pastas including spaghetti alla carbonara, lasagne al ragu, seafood diablo and white vongole e gamberetti. Pollo arrostito, baked with rosemary, is a house standby, and the gelato counter runs local flavors such as langka. The room is casual and reliably family-friendly.
