ANCHOR – Restaurant

Just south of the Flagler Pier on Oceanshore Boulevard, The Anchor does the Florida beach-town seafood house properly: nautical fit-out, water in the windows, and a bar that stays busy. Order clam chowder or oysters Rockefeller, calamari, then shrimp scampi, shrimp tacos with mango salsa and citrus aioli, or fried haddock. Specials run to shrimp and grits and whatever cobia came in. Landlubbers get prime rib and steak. Key lime pie, lemon pie and tiramisu close it out. Lunch through the evening most days, and later at weekends. Diners keep returning for the ocean view and unfussy plates of shellfish.
