ANGLER'S CLUB – Restaurant
The Anglers Club occupies a lodge-like room on Canal Street in The Villages, all warmth and low light, and it runs on membership rather than walk-in trade. Chef Matt writes a seasonal menu that reaches further than the address might suggest: seared venison, espresso-crusted buffalo loin, seared scallops, and bananas Foster flambeed at the table. Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday, with brunch and dinner on Sunday and the doors shut on Monday. Tastings and social evenings fill the calendar in between. Members consistently describe staff who behave more like family than service. Fine dining that decided to be comfortable.
