Family owned since 1997, Anthony's Pizza and Italian Restaurant has held the same Rock Springs Road spot in Apopka's Wekiva Springs shopping centre, next door to the supermarket. The pizza is hand-tossed New York style, baked in a brick oven, crisp at the edge and generously topped. Around it sits a full Italian-American kitchen: eggplant, veal and chicken parmigiana, plus starters like jalapeno poppers, jumbo onion rings and breaded mushrooms, and a children's menu. Hours run late morning to ten most nights, eleven on Fridays. Dine in, take out or have it delivered. A neighbourhood pizzeria that simply stayed put.
