Apopka's long-standing steakhouse sits on Rock Springs Road and opens only for dinner, Wednesday through Sunday. Aged Black Angus is the point: boneless ribeye, porterhouse, New York strip, centre-cut filet, with slow-roasted prime rib reserved for Sundays and served with au jus and creamy horseradish. Seafood and pasta share the card, including Chilean sea bass, Atlantic salmon and scallops. Starters lean old-school in the best way, from sauteed escargot and golden fried calamari to the Apopka Chop, a gorgonzola, tomato, egg and bacon salad in sweet-and-sour dressing.
