The recipe travelled down from Columbus, Ohio, where the family has been making it for more than forty years, to a storefront on the Tamiami Trail. Pies run from eleven to seventeen inches, with meat lovers, deluxe, veggie, bacon cheddar cheeseburger and barbecue grilled chicken among the specialties. There are strombolis, meatball and chicken parmesan subs, wings, loaded potato skins, salads, pasta dinners, then cannoli or homemade cheesecake. Square-cut, cracker-thin, and entirely unbothered by passing trends.
