WINDY CITY EATZ – Restaurant

Windy City Eatz hauls Chicago's street-corner canon down to the Gulf coast in a food truck, and the menu reads like a homesick order sheet. The Chi Town Dog is the anchor, an all-beef dog dressed the way Chicago insists on; the Maxwell Street Dog swaps in Polish sausage; the Italian beef sandwich is the one transplants drive across town for. Hand-cut fries come out of the same window. Customers talk about sandwiches that need two hands and a plan, and about finally finding the real thing this far south.
