Asian Wok works a long Chinese-American menu out of a Wickham Road strip on Melbourne's north side, and the length is the point: seventeen sections, thirty-eight combination plates, and a steamed diet menu for anyone skipping the sauce. House specials include seafood delight, happy family, hunan double delight, orange beef, sesame shrimp and General Tso's tofu. Moo shu comes with pancakes; egg foo young comes six ways. Kung pao shrimp, moo goo gai pan and mongolian chicken hold the middle ground. Dine in or take out, with prices pitched for a weeknight. Familiar food, done properly, and at real volume.
