AVOCADO’S – Restaurant

One of two Bradenton rooms run by the same family, the Cortez Road location puts the bar in the middle and keeps the tequila list long. Start with muchachos nachos, elote dusted in cotija and lime, chunky guacamole made to order, or plantains under cream and queso fresco. Street tacos come three to a plate with al pastor, carnitas, chorizo or shrimp; campechanos stack steak and chorizo under melted cheese. Mains include chile verde, pollo Monterrey, char-grilled carne asada and sizzling fajitas. Happy hour runs from two until six. Diners consistently praise attentive servers, spotless rooms and shaded outdoor seating.
