Bakey Hallandale LLC – Restaurant

Boston's babka specialist has landed in Hallandale Beach, taking over the former Kosher Bagel Cove space on West Hallandale Beach Boulevard and keeping it kosher. Founder Uri Scheft, who built Lehamim Bakery in Tel Aviv, sets the standard: chocolate babka layered with hazelnut praline and vanilla syrup, almond babka filled with marzipan, and cinnamon and pistachio versions sold by the slice or as a loaf. Around them sit cheese burekas, rugelach, croissants, challah and New York-style bagels, with sandwiches and salads at lunch and coffee all morning. Roughly fifty seats indoors and another seventy on the terrace outside. Closed Saturdays.
