BAMBINO PIZZA – Restaurant

Bambino Pizza has worked the same Bayshore Boulevard corner of Dunedin since 2004, a family-run pizzeria turning out New York-style pies on dough, sauces and dressings made in house. The gourmet board runs to a pesto pizza layered with tomato, artichokes, salami, garlic and parmesan. Beyond it sit oven-baked meatballs, buffalo wings, pasta with meatballs, parmigiana subs and the Bambino Mitt, a baked stack of ham, salami, provolone and banana peppers. Tuesdays and Thursdays carry their own specials. Regulars talk about scratch cooking and quick, friendly counter service. Tables can be booked; the back room handles birthdays and team dinners.
