BIMINI TWIST – Restaurant

Tiki torches and palm trees mark the entrance; inside, Bimini Twist has worked the same single Okeechobee Boulevard room since 2002. The kitchen leans hard on seafood, fresh rather than frozen: conch fritters with creole mustard, smoked mahi-mahi dip, bangin' Bimini shrimp, crispy calamari, pan-seared sea scallops over Maine lobster risotto, local yellowtail snapper, sesame-seared ahi. Seafood rustica piles clams, shrimp, lobster and scallops over orzo. Steak eaters get aged hand-cut New York strip and filet mignon, optionally crowned with crabmeat. Behind it all sits a long bar, dozens of wines and two dozen specialty cocktails. Reservations are strongly recommended.
