Birdie Bistro trades on Granada Boulevard beside the golf course, a family-run room that opens at seven and does not close until eight, seven days a week. Breakfast is the backbone: BB's eggs your way, three-egg omelets built to order, traditional eggs benedict, avocado toast, the Powerhouse with spinach, mushrooms and avocado, and a champions bowl of seasoned potatoes, steak and two eggs. Lunch swings to handhelds, among them a turkey club, patty melt on rye, tuna melt, smashed burger, and the SOBE with bacon jam and muenster. Kids get their own corner. Scratch cooking, neighbourhood prices, no ceremony anywhere.
