On North Federal Highway in Oakland Park, Bondi Sushi runs the same tight hand roll bar format that made the brand's name in New York and Miami. Sit at the counter and order rolls as they are made, salmon avocado, spicy tuna, yellowtail scallion and cucumber sesame, warm rice and crisp nori, seconds old. Nigiri and sashimi are cut plainly and left alone, while the crispy rice with spicy tuna is the dish people return for. A twelve course omakase, lunch specials, desserts and cocktails complete it, alongside an afternoon happy hour. Open daily from late morning. Confident, unfussy sushi.
