BOSTON COFFEEHOUSE – Restaurant
Thirty years in DeLand and still leaning on the colonial-Boston conceit: Yankee Doodle, Green Monsta Mint, Crazy Colonial and the Boston Caramocha all sit on the specialty board, hot, iced or frozen, in twelve, sixteen or twenty-four ounces. Mornings run to breakfast burritos, the Boston Breakfast Biscuit, chipotle and pesto ciabattas, Belgian waffles, and oatmeal in banana-nut or caramel-apple. Lunch is sandwich country: the Colonial Club, Cambridge Croissant, Turkey Reuben, cranberry chicken panini, tuna melt, plus Olympian and strawberry-feta salads. Two DeLand storefronts, one of them a drive-thru, and a courthouse counter too. The operator claims local Best Coffeehouse honours.
