BROADWAY DELI – Restaurant
A weekday deli off Belfort Road that opens at seven and is gone by three, feeding the Southside since 1996 under the same owner since 2000. Breakfast runs until half past ten, two eggs with home fries or grits, buttermilk pancakes, then the slicer takes over. There are reubens and turkey reubens on rye, a Black Forest of grilled pastrami with bacon and swiss, a gyro of lamb and beef with tzatziki on flat pita, homemade meatballs in sauce, and a grilled veggie of squash, zucchini and mushroom. Triple-decker clubs, deli subs and beef burgers as well. Closed at weekends.
