CAFE STANDARD – Restaurant

The daytime counter at The Standard Spa on Island Avenue, open to hotel guests and to Miami Beach locals alike, from seven in the morning until five. The room is deliberately cheerful: diagonally panelled pine, a monkey-strung Mario Lopez Torres pendant, a mid-century-inspired bar. Food skews plant-forward without ever being austere. Acai and Levante bowls, a vegan kale salad with pickled watermelon rind, zen garden poke, a burrata melt with prosciutto and carrot-top pesto, the Standard Reuben on marble rye, a lobster roll. Cold-pressed juices, vegan mylks, kombucha on tap and creme brulee french toast cover both virtue and indulgence.
