Bagels come out of the Chesapeake Bagel Bakery ovens and travel the short hop to North Andrews Avenue still warm, which is rather the point of this Oakland Park counter. Plain, pumpernickel, sun-dried tomato and egg everything sit beside thicker Peake bagels in cheddar-bacon and jalapeno-cheddar. Spreads are mixed in store: chive and bacon, honey walnut, smoked salmon. Mornings run on egg'wiches with Taylor ham or turkey sausage. Later the Nova-Nova arrives with lox, capers and red onion, and the Broward Special stacks smoked turkey, bacon and sprouts. Whitefish salad, tuna melts on rye, and catering platters that feed twelve.
