Casa Bar and Grill – Restaurant

Houston's kosher steak scene runs through a corner of Bellaire, and the butcher block is the reason. Casa Bar & Grill ages its beef dry and sells a fifty-ounce bone-in tomahawk for two with bone marrow, chimichurri, red wine demi and horseradish aioli; spinalis, hanger, cowboy and boneless ribeye fill the rest of the case. Chef Dovid Wohlgelernter opens with lamb flatbread, wagyu hot stone short rib, duck spring rolls and birria tacos on house-made corn tortillas. Duck gnocchi, chicken pot pie and a thirty-ounce smoked beef rib anchor the entrees. Cocktails are built with fresh juices and house bitters.
